Output Signal Chart-Step 1

  1. Turn ignition off and disconnect negative battery cable. Remove large and small harness connectors from ECU. ECU is located under driver's seat.
  2. Turn ignition switch to "LOCK" position. On ECI Checker (MD998451 ), set check switch to "OFF" position and select switch to "A" position.
  3. Connect White connectors (labeled "CHECKER") of Harness Connector (MD998452 ) to ECI checker. Connect harness connector to ECU and harness connectors. See Fig 1 .

  4. Perform checks according to SYSTEM OUTPUT SIGNAL CHART-STEP 1. See Figure . If checker shows any deviation from specification, check sensor and related electrical wiring. Repair or replace as necessary. After repair, recheck with ECI checker to ensure repair has corrected problem.
