Mirror Motor Test

  1. Remove power mirror switch from mounting position. Disconnect wiring harness at switch connector. Use 2 jumper wires, one connected to a 12-volt source, and the other connected to a good body ground.
  2. Refer to the MIRROR MOTOR TEST chart of appropriate body style (See Fig 1 -Fig 7 ) for wire hook-ups at the wiring harness (harness side). If 2 wire codes are indicated in the "12 volts", column both wires must be hooked up to 12 volts simultaneously in order for test to work.
  3. If results shown in the chart are not obtained, check for broken or shorted circuit, or replace mirror assembly as necessary.
