Removal & Installation: Precautions

Before removing any fuel system components, system pressure must be relieved. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in this article. It is not necessary to remove throttle body from intake manifold to remove components.

If any components such as hoses or clamps are replaced, ensure they are replaced with components designed for EFI use. Always reassemble throttle body components with new "O" rings and seals.
