Test 19A - Not Receiving Bus Messages Correctly On Bus
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS .
- If DRB-II is not connected to correct diagnostic connector, connect DRB-II to CCD bus diagnostic connector. Perform VERIFICATION TEST . If DRB-II is connected to CCD bus diagnostic connector, turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect instrument cluster connector. Check connector, and clean or repair connector as necessary.
- Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance of White/Black wire between terminals No. 6 of CCD bus diagnostic connector and No. 9 at instrument cluster connector. If resistance more than 5 ohms, repair open White/Black wire. Perform VERIFICATION TEST .
- If resistance is less than less 5 ohms, reconnect instrument cluster connector. Turn ignition switch to ON position. If DRB-II displays NOT RECEIVING BUS MESSAGES CORRECTLY, replace instrument cluster. Perform VERIFICATION TEST . If DRB-II does not display NOT RECEIVING BUS MESSAGES CORRECTLY, perform TEST 20A .
