Control Circuit Test
CAUTION:
Before performing any starter tests, ignition and fuel systems must be disabled.
The starter control circuit is comprised of the following system components:
- Starter solenoid.
- Starter relay.
- Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Double Start Override.
- Transmission range sensor.
- Ignition switch.
- Battery.
- All related wiring and connections.
- To disable ignition and fuel systems, disconnect Automatic Shutdown Relay (ASD). The ASD relay is located in in Power Distribution Center (PDC).
