Crankcase Ventilation Systems: Description

1961-62 California cars, 1963-65 cars and 1966-67 non-California cars use an "open" positive crankcase ventilation system "Type 1". The open system consists of a check valve control replacing the conventional crankcase ventilator outlet and a hose connecting this valve to the intake manifold.
