Starter Controls - DELCO-REMY: Description

Enclosed shift lever type, having an extruded frame, four poles and a compound field. Drive end housing is extended to enclose entire shift lever mechanism and plunger to protect them from dirt. Solenoid is flange mounted onto drive end housing and is sealed to the drive housing by a sealing compound. Shift lever return spring is compression type and is located inside solenoid case.
