Checking Fluid Level

  1. Park vehicle on level surface and apply parking brake. Place selector lever in the "P" position, start engine and allow engine to idle for 2 minutes. Apply brakes, shift through all gears and return selector lever to the "P" position.
  2. Remove dipstick and carefully touch dipstick end to determine temperature of fluid. If fluid is cool or warm, fluid level should be in "COLD" range. If fluid is too hot to touch, fluid level should be in "HOT" range. Add fluid if necessary. DO NOT  overfill.
