Instrument Panel - Analog: Testing: Voltmeter

With ignition switch in RUN position, connect a voltmeter between positive and negative battery terminals. If voltage reading on test voltmeter is same as instrument cluster voltmeter, voltmeter is okay.
If test voltmeter reading is different from cluster voltmeter reading, check wiring, connections and printed circuit. If no problems are found, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
