Brake Released
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Release parking brake. Disconnect brake fluid level switch connector. If BRAKE light is on, go to next step. If BRAKE light is off, check brake fluid level. If brake fluid level is okay, replace brake fluid level switch.
- Disconnect parking brake switch connector. If BRAKE light is off, replace parking brake switch. If BRAKE light is on, turn ignition off. Disconnect ignition switch Black connector. Turn ignition on. Connect test light between ignition switch terminal "D" (Tan/White wire) and ground. If test light comes on, replace ignition switch. If test light does not come on, check Tan/White wire for a short to ground. If wire is okay, replace instrument cluster.
