Enabling Procedure

  1. Remove the key from the ignition.
  2. Connect the CPA from the inflatable restraint side impact sensor and pretensioner yellow 2-way harness connectors (4).
  3. Install the orange CPA (2) from the yellow sensor and pretensioner harness connectors (3).

  4. Install the SIR Fuse.
  5. Install the console accessory wiring junction block access hole cover.
  6. Staying well away from all inflator modules and pretensioners, turn ON the ignition.
    1. The AIR BAG indicator will flash 7 times.
    2. The AIR BAG indicator will then turn OFF.
  7. Perform Diagnostic System Check - SIR  if the AIR BAG indicator does not operate as described.
