Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Aztek and 2002 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Important:  These procedures are applicable to both of the antenna cables in this vehicle.

  1. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement .
  2. Remove the sunshade. Refer to SUNSHADE REPLACEMENT .
  3. Remove the sunshade anchor. Refer to SUNSHADE ANCHOR REPLACEMENT .
  4. Remove the trim panel from the right cowl side. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - COWL SIDE .
  5. Remove the garnish molding from the windshield. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - WINDSHIELD PILL .

  6. For the Rendezvous, remove the assist handle from the headliner. Refer to ASSIST HANDLE REPLACEMENT (AZTEK) or ASSIST HANDLE REPLACEMENT (RENDEZVOUS) .
  7. Remove the bolt that secures the antenna cable extension to the roof. This bolt is located under the right front corner of the headliner.
  8. Remove the antenna cable from the instrument panel carrier.

  9. Remove the following components from the vehicle:
    • The antenna cable
    • The antenna cable extension
