Hood Adjustment

- The hood hinges are bolted to the fender and to the hood.
- Make fore and aft adjustments by elongating the hood-side hinge holes.
- Make vertical adjustment at the front by adjusting the hood bumpers up or down.
Specification
- Gap tolerances are 2-6 mm (0.08-0.22 in).
- Flush tolerances are 0-2 mm (0-0.08 in).
- Open the hood.
- Loosen the hinge to hood bolts. Refer to Hood Replacement .
- Adjust the hood to the fender position.
- Close the hood.
- Check the hood alignment.
- Open the hood.
- Adjust the hood as needed.NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
- Install the hood-to-hinge bolts with an assistant.
Tighten
Tighten the upper hood hinge bolts to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).
- Adjust the hood bumpers.
- Close the hood.
