Installation Procedure

Install the wiper blade onto the wiper arm. Refer to Wiper Arm Blade Replacement .
Install the wiper arm onto the wiper transmission driveshaft.
IMPORTANT: Hold the measuring device at 90 degrees (perpendicular) to the wiper blade tip.
Measure the distance from the wiper blade tip to the solid edge of the windshield blackout. Position the wiper arms at the following distances:
- LH - 147 mm (5.79 in) above the glass blackout.
- RH - 123 mm (4.84 in) below the glass blackout.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
Install the wiper arm nut onto the wiper transmission driveshaft.
Tighten

Tighten the nut to 48 N.m (35 lb ft).
Install the cover on the wiper arm nut.
IMPORTANT: Lubricate the washer hose with the windshield washer solvent to ease installation on the washer nozzle.
Install the washer hose to the washer nozzle.
Inspect the wipers for proper operation.
