Removal Procedure

- Disable the SIR. Refer to DISABLING SYSTEM .
- Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to STEERING COLUMN TRIM COVERS REPLACEMENT - ON VEHICLE .
- Remove the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER REPLACEMENT - ON VEHICLE .
- Remove the theft deterrent control module wiring harness from the steering column harness.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the theft deterrent control module.
- If, necessary, disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition lock cylinder case.
- Remove the theft deterrent module (2) away from the lock cylinder housing (1).
