Front Auxiliary HVAC Control Assembly

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 GMC Savana Special, 2002 GMC Savana Camper Special, 2002 GMC Savana, and 2002 Chevrolet Chevy Express. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Front auxiliary HVAC control assembly is located overhead, in center of headliner, above rear view mirror. The front auxiliary HVAC control assembly controls 3-speed auxiliary blower motor, rear seat area air temperature and air delivery mode through upper or lower outlets, or a combination of both. Front auxiliary control assembly also activates rear auxiliary control assembly by placing blower switch in REAR CNTL position. See Fig 1. When any position other than REAR CNTL is selected, control of rear auxiliary HVAC control is made from front auxiliary HVAC control assembly. When main system is off or not in A/C mode, auxiliary blower switch can operate blower motor to circulate air in rear passenger compartment.
