Removal & Installation: Compressor: Removal

- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air cleaner assembly. Discharge A/C system, using approved refrigerant recovery/recycling equipment. See RECOVERY, EVACUATING & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Disconnect electrical connectors from compressor. Remove drive belt.
- Remove hose assembly from compressor and plug openings. Remove compressor mounting bolts and remove compressor. See Figure or Figure . Drain oil from compressor into measuring container, and note amount drained for installation reference.
