Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 8 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Yukon XL, 2003 GMC Yukon, 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe, 2003 Chevrolet Suburban, and 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the seat in the vehicle.
  2. Connect the electrical harness, if equipped.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Move the seat to the full forward position in order to install the seat retaining rear bolts (1).

    Tighten 

    1. Tighten the retaining rear bolts to 55 N.m (41 lb ft).
  4. Install the front seat adjuster bolt cover (3), if equipped.
  5. Move the seat to the full rearward position and install the seat retaining front nuts (2).

    Tighten 

    1. Tighten the nuts to 55 N.m (41 lb ft).
  6. If equipped with side air bags, enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 7 and SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 9   in SIR.
