Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the endgate trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - END GATE  .
  2. Remove the endgate water deflector. Refer to WATER DEFLECTOR REPLACEMENT - END GATE  .
  3. Remove the endgate handle. Refer to HANDLE REPLACEMENT - END GATE  .
  4. Remove the endgate bellcrank. Refer to BELLCRANK REPLACEMENT - END GATE  .
  5. Remove the endgate latches. Refer to LATCH REPLACEMENT - END GATE  .
  6. Remove the liftgate latches. Refer to LATCH REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE (AZTEK)  or LATCH REPLACEMENT - LIFT GATE (RENDEZVOUS)  .
  7. Remove the endgate lock cylinder. Refer to LOCK CYLINDER REPLACEMENT - END GATE  .
  8. Remove the endgate weatherstrip. Refer to WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - END GATE  .
  9. Remove the endgate hinge bolts.

  10. Remove the endgate from the vehicle, with an assistant.
  11. Remove the endgate wiring harness.
  12. Remove the endgate rear panel molding. Refer to MOLDING REPLACEMENT -- REAR PANEL .
