Removal Procedure

- Open and support the hood.
- Install a protective covering over the fenders.
- Remove the hood insulator, if equipped. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement .
- Mark the upper hood hinge location to the hood with a grease pencil.
- With an assistant, remove the hood hinge to hood bolts.
- With an assistant, remove the hood.
NOTE:
When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.
