Brake Pressure Modulator Valve: Removal

Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) is located next to EBCM, on top of left front frame rail (Camaro and Firebird) or on left side strut tower in engine compartment (Grand Prix and Intrigue). Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect negative battery cable. Pull out lock tab from EBCM harness connector and disconnect connector.
Note location of primary and secondary BPMV brakelines, and remove lines. Plug brakelines to prevent loss and contamination of fluid. Remove BPMV bracket nuts.
NOTE: When removing BPMV, protect vehicle exterior paint from possible brake fluid spillage.
Reposition brakelines to one side as necessary for removal of BPMV. Remove BPMV and EBCM as an assembly from bracket. If necessary, separate EBCM from BPMV.
