Transmitter Programming With Remote Keyless Entry Integrated Into Body Control Module

NOTE: A Tech 2 scan tool is recommended for programming purposes. Consult scan tool manufacturer's owner's manual for other scan tools to determine compatibility and usage.

NOTE: Scan tool must stay connected to DLC, until all transmitters are programmed.

Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located under left side of instrument panel. Turn ignition switch to RUN position.
Using scan tool, select Body Control Module (BCM) special functions, ADD/REPLACE KEY FOB to place BCM into program mode. To program all transmitters, use scan tool BCM special functions, CLEAR MEMORY/PROGRAM ALL FOBs to place BCM into program mode.
BCM will confirm entry into program mode by sounding chime twice.
Press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously on first transmitter for approximately 12 seconds. BCM will confirm programming of transmitter by sounding chime twice.
If programming all transmitters, repeat previous step to program up to 4 transmitters. To add another transmitter, go to step 3 .
Remove scan tool. Exit vehicle. Using remote transmitter, attempt to lock/unlock doors to verify programming. Operate all transmitter functions in order to verify correct system operation.
