Installation Procedure

  1. Install the proportion valve to bracket and install retaining nuts.
    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts 10 N.m (84 lb in).

  2. Install master cylinder brake pipes to proportion valve.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fittings to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

  3. Install the brake pipes to the proportion valve.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fittings to 21 N.m (15 lb ft).

  4. Bleed brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual)  or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
