Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Saturn Vue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- If installing a new handle pivot, remove and discard the shipping retainer.
- Connect the outside handle rod to handle pivot.
- Insert rear pin of pivot into door structure. Compress front pin and insert into door structure.
- Adjust outside handle rod to freely enter clamshell-style retainer clip in door latch and secure into place.
- Install door sound insulator. Refer to Front Side Door Insulator Replacement .
- Install the front door outer panel. Refer to Front Side Door Outer Panel Replacement .
IMPORTANT:
Check for proper adjustment of outside handle rod. There should be no tension on pivot or door latch.
