DTC C0559: EEPROM Checksum Error: Testing

  1. If theft deterrent diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If theft deterrent diagnostic system check has not been performed, go to THEFT DETERRENT DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  .
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Replace Passlock(tm) module. After repair, go to next step.
  3. Reconnect all previously disconnected connectors and components. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC), located below steering column. See Figure . Clear DTCs. Perform PROGRAMMING THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM COMPONENTS  . After repair, perform PROGRAMMING THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM COMPONENTS  .
