Removal Procedure

Tools Required
- J 33432-A Transverse Spring Compressor
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION in TIRES AND WHEELS article.
- Measure the transverse spring stud height (1). See Figure.CAUTION: During this procedure, use care not to scratch rear transverse spring.
- Install J 33432-A to the rear transverse spring and compress the spring. See Figure.
- Remove the retainers, nuts, insulators and spring bolts (2) from the lower control arm. See Figure.
