Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Important: The key should be in the off position when connecting the HVAC control module electrical connector to ensure proper calibration.

Connect the HVAC control module electrical connectors.
Push the HVAC control module into I/P opening.

Install the HVAC control module retaining screws.
Tighten

Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).
Install the I/P accessory trim plate. Refer to TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT -- INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ACCESSORY (AZTEK) .
Important: Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control module while the HVAC control module is self-calibrating. If interrupted, improper HVAC performance will result.

The engine must be running for proper calibration to occur.
Start and allow the engine to run for a least one minute.
