Installation Procedure

- Install the steering knuckle (2) to the vehicle.
- Install the upper ball joint. Refer to Upper Ball Joint Replacement .
- Install the lower ball joint. Refer to Lower Ball Joint Replacement .
- Install the park brake cable retaining bolt (3) to the steering knuckle.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 65 N.m (48 lb ft).
- Install the wheel hub and bearing. Refer to Wheel Hub and Bearing Replacement .
- Install the outer tie rod retaining nut to the steering knuckle.
Tighten: Tighten the nut to 55 N.m (40 lb ft).
- Install the outer tie rod retaining bracket (2).
Tighten: Tighten the bracket to 65 N.m (48 lb ft).
- Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Perform a four wheel alignment. Refer to Measuring Wheel Alignment (w/Rear Wheel Steering) or Measuring Wheel Alignment (w/o Rear Wheel Steering) in Wheel Alignment.
