Installation Procedure

  1. Align the endgate to the vehicle, with an assistant.

  2. Install the endgate hinge bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the endgate hinge bolts to 33 N.m (28 lb ft).

  3. Install the endgate rear panel molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Rear Panel .
  4. Install the endgate wiring harness.
  5. Install the endgate weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Endgate .
  6. Install the endgate lock cylinder. Refer to Lock Cylinder Replacement - Endgate .
  7. Install the liftgate latches. Refer to Latch Replacement - Liftgate (Aztek) .
  8. Install the endgate latches. Refer to Latch Replacement - Endgate 
  9. Install the endgate bellcrank. Refer to Bellcrank Replacement - Endgate .
  10. Install the endgate handle. Refer to Handle Replacement - Endgate .
  11. Install the endgate water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Endgate .
  12. Install the endgate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Endgate .
