Installation Procedure

  1. Position the lift gate handle to the lift gate.
    2. NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the bolts to the lift gate handle.

    Tighten:  Tighten the lift gate handle bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  3. Reconnect the outside handle swing over clip to the outside handle rod.
  4. Install the lock cylinder. Refer to Lock Cylinder Replacement - Liftgate  .
  5. Install the lift gate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate  .
  6. Close the lift gate.
