Installation Procedure

- Install the tweeter to the front door trim plate.CAUTION: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws (4) in order to retain the tweeter to the front door trim plate.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to retain the tweeter to the front door trim plate to 2 N.m (18 in lbs).
- Connect the electrical connectors (3) to the tweeter.
- Connect the electrical connections to the following components, if equipped:
- Power window switch
- Power mirror switch
- Power lock switch
- Install the front door trim plate to the door trim panel. Refer to DOOR TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT (MANUAL WINDOWS) or DOOR TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT (POWER WINDOWS) or DOOR TRIM PLATE REPLACEMENT (SIDE/ REAR DOOR) .
