Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear header speaker to the rear header speaker housing.
    CAUTION: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
  2. Install the screws in order to retain the rear header speaker to the rear header speaker housing.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws in order to retain the rear header speaker to the speaker housing to 2 N.m (18 ft lbs).

  3. Connect the electrical connector to the speaker.
  4. Install the rear header speaker housing to the vehicle.
  5. Install the nuts in order to retain the rear header speaker housing to the vehicle.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nuts in order to retain the rear header speaker housing to the vehicle to 6 N.m (53 in lbs).

  6. Install the rear header trim panel, if equipped.
