Installation Procedure

  1. Position the front seat back cover to the pad.
  2. Pull the seat back cover over the pad and align the hook and the loop retainers.

  3. Use firm hand pressure in order to fasten the hook and the loop retainers, securing the front seat back cover to the pad.

  4. Install the front seat head restraint retainers. Refer to Head Restraint Retainer Replacement - Front Seat .
  5. Install the seat back cover to the retainer at the side impact airbag, by pressing in and pulling down on the seat back cover.

  6. Fasten the J-hook retainer at the bottom of the seat back cover.

  7. Install the electrical harness for the seat back heater through the seat cushion.
  8. Install the front seat back cover end flaps, 3 flaps on each side.
  9. Install the rear screw from the seat trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Front Seat .
  10. Install the front seat head restraint. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement - Front Seat .
  11. Connect the electrical connector for the heated seat back, if equipped.
  12. Install the seat belt nut to the seat stud. Refer to the following procedures in Seat Belts:
  13. Enable the SIR system if the seat is equipped with an air bag. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
