Removal Procedure

  1. Remove outlet duct and resonator. Refer to AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT in Engine Controls.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECT/CONNECT PROCEDURE  .
  3. Disconnect the positive battery cable at the battery.
  4. Lift fuse/relay center to access power lead bolt.
  5. Remove power lead bolt from fuse/relay center.
  6. Cut the tape holding the 2 cables together at the retainer on the battery tray.

  7. Cut the tape holding the 2 cables together near the transmission electrical plug.

  8. Remove the positive battery cable to starter solenoid nut.
  9. Remove the positive battery cable from the vehicle.
