Installation Procedure

  1. Install the sensor (1) to the hood latch support bracket (3).

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the mounting bolts (2) to the sensor (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  3. Connect the wiring harness connector to the sensor (1).
  4. Install the CPA to the wiring harness connector.
  5. Install the hood close out panel to the vehicle.
  6. Install the pushpin retainers to the hood close out panel.

  7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 1 .
