Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door (Aztek)  or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door (Rendezvous) .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Rear Door .
  3. Remove the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Outer .
  4. Remove the inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Rear Door Window Belt Inner .
  5. Remove the window. Refer to Window Replacement - Rear Door .
  6. Remove the frame applique. Refer to Door Frame Applique Replacement - Rear .
  7. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement - Rear Door .
  8. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Outside .
  9. Remove the inside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Rear Inside .
  10. Remove the lock. Refer to Lock Replacement - Rear Door .
  11. Remove the window weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Rear Door Window .
  12. Remove the rubber conduit. Refer to Rubber Conduit Replacement - Rear Door .
  13. Remove the wiring harness. Refer to Wiring Harness Replacement - Rear Door .
  14. Remove the body side moldings. Refer to Molding Replacement - Rear Door Body Side (Aztek) or Molding Replacement - Rear Door Body Side (Rendezvous) in Exterior Trim.
  15. Support the rear door.
  16. Remove the bolt from the upper hinge keeper strap.
    IMPORTANT: Do not dislodge the washer on the lower hinge.

  17. Remove the bolts from the lower door hinge side.
  18. With the help of an assistant, remove the rear door from the upper hinge.
  19. Remove the upper hinge from the rear door. Refer to Hinge Replacement - Rear Door .
