Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Removal

Turn ignition off. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the push in retainers securing the front air deflector to the vehicle. Remove the front air deflector. Drain the cooling system to below the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor. See Fig 1. Disconnect the ECT sensor electrical connector. Carefully remove the ECT sensor.
