Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2004 Oldsmobile Bravada, 2004 GMC Envoy XUV, 2004 GMC Envoy XL, 2004 GMC Envoy, and 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the handles to the endgate.

    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the screws retaining the handles to the license plate pocket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the endgate handles.
  4. Install the inner panel reinforcement. Refer to Reinforcement Inner Panel Replacement - Endgate .
  5. Install the rear body control module. Refer to Module Rear Body Control Replacement - Endgate .
  6. Install the trim panel to the endgate. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Endgate (Envoy XUV) .
