Removal Procedure

Remove the RH fender diagonal brace. Refer to Brace Replacement - Front Fender Upper Diagonal in Body Front End.
Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
Disconnect the positive battery cable.

Remove the battery hold down retainer bolt (1).
Remove the battery hold down retainer (2).

IMPORTANT: Do NOT tip the battery more than 40 degrees during removal.

Remove the battery (3).

Remove the battery insulator from the battery.
