Removal Procedure

Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

Disengage the retainers (1,2) from the theft deterrent reader/exciter module.
Remove the theft deterrent module (3) from the lock cylinder housing.
