Installation Procedure

  1. Position the latch to the liftgate.
  2. Connect the electrical connector.
  3. Install the bolts that retain the latch to the lift gate.
    4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Adjust the portion of the latch to allow the lift gate window striker enter the center of the latch.

    Tighten:  Tighten the latch bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate (TrailBlazer, Envoy, Bravada)  or Trim Panel Replacement - Liftgate (TrailBlazer EXT, Envoy XL)  in Interior Trim.
  6. Install the liftgate window garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Rear Window in Interior Trim.
