Installation Procedure

Install the support cable to the vehicle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the bolts retaining the support cable to the endgate and to the body.
Tighten: Tighten the support cable bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
Remove the prop rod and return it to its storage position.
Close the endgate.
