Installation Procedure

  1. Position the shift control lever assembly (1) in the vehicle.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the shift control lever shaft retaining bolts (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the shift control bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Carefully snap the shift control lever boot into place.
  4. Install the console trim panel on the console. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Console in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
