Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the console trim panel from the console. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Console in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

  2. Using a screwdriver, remove the shift control lever boot (2).

  3. Carefully lift the shift control boot to gain access to the shift lever shaft screws.
  4. Remove the shift control lever shaft retaining bolts (3).
  5. Remove the shift control lever assembly from the vehicle.
