Installation Procedure

Install the ignition switch assembly (3) to the steering column (1).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Install the retaining screws (2) to the ignition switch assembly (3).
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 4 N.m (36 lb in).
Install the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement (Without Key) or Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement (With Key) .
Install the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.
Connect the negative battery cable.
