Removal Procedure

Raise the window to the full UP position.
Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Pontiac) or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Chevrolet) .
Remove the water deflector, as required. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door .
Remove the lower window channel retainer (2). Refer to Window Channel Replacement - Front Side Rear .

Pull the lock cylinder rod in order to disengage the rod (1) from the door lock assembly.
Remove the door lock rod (1) from the door lock cylinder.
Remove the door lock rod (1).
