Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and 2004 Chevrolet Impala. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the power seat switch to the front seat cushion trim panel, if equipped. Refer to Seat Switch Replacement - Power .
  2. Install the lumbar control switch to the front seat cushion trim panel, if equipped. Refer to Lumbar Switch Replacement .
  3. Install the heated seat switch to the front seat cushion trim panel, if equipped. Refer to Heated Seat Switch Replacement - Front (Impala)  or Heated Seat Switch Replacement - Front (Monte Carlo) .
  4. Install the seat cushion trim panel, pressing in until the two retaining clips are fully seated.

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the front cushion trim panel rear screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the front seat cushion trim panel screws to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

  8. Install the push-in retainer to the front of the front seat cushion trim panel, pressing into place until fully seated.

  10. Install the front seat lumbar knob, pressing into place until fully seated.

  12. Install the front seat back recliner handle, pressing into place until fully seated.
