Enabling Procedure

  1. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  2. When enabling the SIS proceed to step 3, if the roof rail module needs enabling then go to step 7.

  4. Install the left SIS connector (3) to the SIS (1).
  5. Install the SIS CPA to the SIS connector (3).
  6. Replace and secure the water deflector back over the SIS.
  7. Install the left/driver door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door in Doors.

  9. Connect the left roof rail module wiring harness yellow connector (2) to the left roof rail module (3).
  10. Install the CPA to the left roof rail module connector (2).
  11. Install the left rear sail panel. Refer to Sail Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.

  13. Install the SIR Fuse.
  14. Close the underhood fuse center cover.
  15. Use caution while reaching in and turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

    The AIR BAG indicator will flash then turn OFF.

  16. Perform the SIR Diagnostic System Check if the AIR BAG warning indicator does not operate as described. Refer to Diagnostic System Check - SIR .
