Removal Procedure
- Remove the wiring harness from the wiring harness retainer located on the power steering pump reservoir.
- Remove the accessory drive belt from the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement
in Engine Mechanical - 3.4L.

- Remove the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump.

- Remove the power steering return hose from the power steering pump.

- Remove the power steering pump mounting bolts from the power steering pump.
- Remove the power steering pump from the vehicle.
- Cap off the power steering pump and hoses in order to prevent contamination.
- Remove the power steering pump pulley from the pump. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement (LA1) or Power Steering Pulley Replacement (LY7) .
- Remove the power steering pump reservoir from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Reservoir Replacement - Off Vehicle (CB Series) .
