Removal Procedure

Remove the rear window trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf (Impala) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf (Monte Carlo) in Interior Trim.

IMPORTANT: Inspect the retainers and the foam washers. Faulty retainers and washers must be replaced.

Disengage the amplifier retainers from the rear window panel.
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the amplifier.
Remove the amplifier.
